This variety pack contains a great range of domestic & exotic wood species. They are typically 5" x 3/4" x 3/4", +/- 1/8". Quality may vary and a few may have a minor bow or rough corner edge, but these are all usable for pens. Pen blanks are not labeled by species to keep your cost low. Blanks measure 3/4" but may vary by approximately 1/8" +/-. These pen blanks are good quality, dry and ready to turn into beautiful pens!

This fits a 20" x 10" x 6" box. This is a great way to sample our species without spending a lot on large boards. These are a mixture of short boards that have been cleaned up to remove checks and other defects, however a random check, live edge, or incursion may be present. These are great for tinkering with different species making boxes, pens, intarsia, jewelry, and other interesting projects. Dry and ready to use. A few pieces may have some residual moisture. Generally the material is kiln dried and surfaced on two sides. Species may include: Redheart, Oregon Myrtlewood, Padauk, California Claro Walnut, Big Leaf Maple, African Zebra, African Bubinga, Mexican Royal Ebony, Greenheart, Marblewood, Oregon Madrone, Bloodwood, Mahogany, Acacia, and Many Others! Specific species in this pack do not come labeled with the species name.

INCLUDES 1 WOOD BLANK (several blanks are shown to indicate the range of color/grain to expect). This incredibly beautiful Central American turning stock has rich reddish-brown color. Hormigo negro is hard and dense, machining well with sharp tools. It has been air drying for a year and contains residual moisture. The high gloss polish in Hormigo negro makes it highly desireable for woodturning. Skill Level: Beginner.
