INCLUDES 1 WOOD BLANK (several blanks are shown to indicate the range of color/grain to expect). Redwood Burl, Sequoia sempervirens, is an amazing burl that ranges from dark burl eyes to lace patterns and numerous fine burl eyes in exceptional stock. It has a low density and needs CA glue during finishing to obtain a high gloss polish. Incursions may be present but can be filled with minerals and/or CA glue. Good burl is scarce. Dry and ready to use. Blanks can have up to 50% sapwood while most have 10% or less. Blanks may have a slight taper or bow generally less than 1/8". Skill level: Intermediate.
