This stunning, kiln dried Buckeye burl is fantastic for stand out projects. Colors, figure, and patterns vary greatly from piece to piece. Bark incursions and live edges are normal with this species as are some checks. It is common for Buckeye to have 1/8” to 3/16” bow, cup or twist. The wood is very pliable; it is easy to apply pressure to boards to get them to lay flat. Buckeye is an extremely difficult wood to cut and procure. Enjoy this special treat! This slice has some soft spalting present on the first 1-1/2" wide area from the sawn edge. There are a few bug holes in the sapwood. Numerous incursions are present.
