We have been fortunate to obtain Narra of two varieties. Highly figured stock was purchased from Laos and has aged for over 11 years, making it dry and ready for use. Standard grain stock was purchased by an American Soldier in Southeast Asia in 1978 from the Ho Chi Minh trail during a reconciliation trip. It was hand cut at that time and still contains machete cuts on edges. Its age has allowed it to equilibrium dry. Narra wood has large open grain, turns well, and cuts sufficiently with sharp tools. Cook Woods purchased all of this special wood in 2019. This is a limited time offer for boards, guitar sets, and turning blanks. Get your piece of history now! This piece is quartersawn with nice figure in the sides. There is some sander skip and it also has some unique circular patterns.
