Macacauba Turning Square (12" x 1-1/2" x 1-1/2")

INCLUDES 1 WOOD BLANK (several blanks are shown to indicate the range of color/grain to expect). Macacauba wood, Platymiscium ulei, is a Bolivian hardwood that is delightful to work with. It turns and glues well, works easily with hand or power tools, and takes an exceptionally high polish when turned. The color can range from warm reddish hues to brownish orange. The grain is medium to fine in texture and beautiful iridescence can be present upon finishing. Residual moisture is present in this wood. The wood is wax sealed either completely or on the ends only. A rough corner edge or minor edge/end check may be present. Sizes may vary by +/- 1/8".
