Collection: Macacauba

Macacauba wood is a Platymiscium spp. from Central and South America that is delightful to work with. It turns and glues well, works easily with hand tools or machines, and takes an exceptionally high polish when turned. The color can range from warm reddish hues to brownish orange. Grain is medium to fine texture and beautiful iridescence can be present upon finishing. It is commonly used for fine furniture, instruments, woodturning, and other fine woodworking projects.
