Spalted Hackberry Bowl Blank

Hackberry has closed grain and shows fine, intricate patterns upon close examination. This wood was cut from a unique tree with strong black irregular grain in the heartwood and spalting. These bowl blanks were freshly cut in August of 2023, surfaced on two sides, and completely wax sealed. They contain moisture and should be twice turned. End checks may be present but will turn away. A few bug holes may be present in heavily spalted areas. There may be some soft spalting, but most is solid. This high quality wood is brimming with possibilities!
