Briar Burl Slice

This Mediterranean Briar Burl is suitable for pens, bottle stoppers, pipes, jewelry, inlay, and other fancy articles. Colors range from tan-reds to light brown. Briar wood has exceptionally fine grain which takes a high natural polish. This wood has air dried since 2021 and is generally dry but may contain some residual moisture. This hardwood is ideal for fine woodworking projects. Please see photos for live bark edge sections and inclusions. Checks and splits may be present in bark areas.
