Sycamore Burl Cut Offs - Medium Box (MFRB)

This Old World Sycamore wood is also known as Oriental Plane Tree and is classified under the scientific name Plantanus orientalis. The original growth range for this species is from Southeast Europe to Western Asia. It has a medium density, glues well, and has good working properties. These cut offs were freshly cut as of February 2019 and have a high moisture content, but will dry fairly quickly.  This product fills a medium flat rate box. Our wood cut offs are ideal for jewelry, inlay, intarsia, and other fine products. Size ranges from 1" to 7" long x 1/4" to 2" wide (most 1-2”+ width) x 1/16" to 3/4" thick. Weight will vary.
