Mexican Royal Ebony / Katalox Bowl Blank (8" x 8" x 3")

INCLUDES 1 WOOD BLANK (several blanks are shown to indicate the range of color/grain to expect). Mexican Royal Ebony, otherwise known as Katalox, is a unique and very dense hardwood from the Yucatan peninsula. Its workability is very similar to other Ebony and in fact, it's listed as a suitable substitute for Luthiers in place of African Ebony. Dark, rich purple/black color ages darker over time. This stock is wax sealed and has been drying since the summer of 2016, though it does contain residual moisture.
