This beautiful Katalox wood has been kiln dried and is surfaced on two sides. It is very high quality material. Pin holes may be present in the sapwood. This unique hardwood can be used for just about any woodworking project your creativity dictates! Katalox is an excellent substitute for African Ebony in stringed instruments. Over several years Katalox ages to a dark purple/black.
