INCLUDES 1 WOOD BLANK (several blanks are shown to indicate the range of color/grain to expect). Claro Walnut (Juglans hindsi) is a unique Walnut species that grows right around the area where Cook Woods is located. Combining beautiful violet and brownish black streaks with areas of figure, Claro walnut is favored for high end veneer for cars, jets, turned articles, and exquisite jewelry boxes. Most of the supply originates in orchards as either production walnut trees or wind row trees to slow the wind and show property lines. It is dense but works and finishes well with the use of a grain sealer. Each and every one of these blanks is wonderful quality, completely wax sealed & ready for your projects! As with all wood there may be minor checks or incursions present and if so they should easily turn away. These blanks have been freshly cut and fully wax sealed. Figure can generally be seen on the quarter to rift sawn faces in varying degrees.
