Elm Vessel Blank

Bring a beautiful piece of wood to your lathe! This turning blank showcases the natural character, grain, and distinctive color of this species. Freshly cut and containing residual moisture, the wood is currently air drying. Each blank has been surfaced on two sides for a clean, consistent shape and is fully wax sealed to help control moisture loss and protect the wood during the drying process. Whether you’re planning a future turning or enjoy the unique experience of twice turning, this blank is a great way to add something special to your collection. As with any freshly-cut wood, natural movement, checking, and changes in shape can occur as the blank continues to dry. This piece has a rough corner. Please see pictures for details.
