Spanish Cedar

Spanish Cedar

share
This Brazilian species, Cedrela spp., is also known as Cedro, Spanish Cedar, or Brazilian Cedar. This is used extensively in the USA for cigar and other box liners, but is also used for pattern making and boat building. Though the wood machines and works easily, it generally requires good dust collection equipment as the aromatic smell is quite pungent when milling. Rich golden browns and subtle reds combine with a slight iridescence to make this wood aesthetically pleasing.
