This European Mappa burl was cut from a beautifully figured cluster burl log with dark brown to black eyes and surrounding translucent golden color. The wood is soft (like soft maple) and light weight with grain that tends to be fuzzy until finish sanded. It cuts and glues readily. Kiln dried and surfaced on two sides, many pieces have unique live edges! These are ideal for bar and countertops, end tables and vanities as well as specialty jewelry boxes, etc. Use this sophisticated European species in your next project! Please note that small drying checks are present in burl eyes. This is normal for the species and adds unique character.
Our state of the art facility is over 15,000 sq. ft. and produces world class live edged table tops, mantles, timbers, lumber, turning blanks, book matched sets, musical instruments, burl caps, burl blanks, and more!
