3-26-15 Chechen

Carribean rosewood is also known as Black poisonwood or Chechen. It is not a true Rosewood, but can have a similar two-toned grain pattern and high polish that is very much like a true Dalbergia Rosewood. This species is used for furniture, cabinets, jewelry boxes, and humidors as well as many other creative projects. It works and glues well. Colors range from brown, pink, red, and black to rich gold all embedded with a shimmering iridescence. All boards are air dried and surfaced on two sides. This batch of Chechen has exceptional color and contains pieces with beautiful figure!
