Celebrate Stars & Stripes with Red Bloodwood Lumber
Brosimum paraense, also known as Cardinal wood, Satine, Satina, and Satine rubanne is a dense, fine grained wood that takes a high polish and can be used for anything from musical instruments, fine furniture, flooring, dye wood and intarsia, to inlay, and more. Bloodwood is related to the rarest wood in the World Snakewood. From South America (chiefly Brazil) Bloodwood trees range from 40-70 tall with diameter of 12 up to 24 for a large tree. Limbs are generally present in the lower sections of logs and are cut out to produce clear usable lumber. Dark red stock is getting harder to find; most of the recently imported wood has streaks or light color present.
