Black Spalted Tamarind

Tamarandus indica was planted throughout many countries in the World for its fruit which is popular in jams, juices, candies and drinks. Growing to a height of 60' with trunk diameters of up to 2' this hardwood has heartwood is bold red with contrasting creamy white sapwood. Our spalted stock is hand selected for only the finest figure! Pin and bug holes are common in soft spots. CA glue can be used to stabilize these sections.Tamarind is originally from Africa. Our stock was grown in Laos.
