Zambian Rosewood, Guibourtia coleosperma, is a small to medium sized tree from Africa that grows to a height of 60 ft. It is predominantly found in open, dry forests in the Kalahari desert sand. The wood is dense and somewhat difficult to work but finishes well and takes a high natural polish. Colors are reddish orange and interesting grain patterns are present. This is a unique hardwood, brimming with possibilities for your woodworking projects.
