Collection: Sipo

Sipo, also known as Utile, has the most similar grain to Genuine Mahogany of all the woods. The color is a uniform reddish brown with a moderate natural luster. It is prone to planer tear out due to interlocked grain. A slight cedar-like smell is present when worked. Uses include fine woodworking projects such as furniture, cabinets, instruments, veneer, turned articles, and boat building.
