Eucalyptus cinerea is a small ornamental evergreen tree native to Southeast Australia. Common names include Argyle Apple, Mealy Stringbark, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus, and Silver Dollar Gum. This tree is small at 25-65 feet tall with diameters of only 12" to 36". The bark is a reddish color and peels easily. The oils in the leaves will repel mosquitos and fleas. Silver Dollar Eucalyptus wood is a dense and durable hardwood which machines well with sharp tools. Oils in the wood create a beautiful natural polish for turning.
