Rich orange color with a tint of red yields beautiful pens. Contrasting white sapwood is present in some blanks. INCLUDES 1 WOOD BLANK (several blanks are shown to indicate the range of color/grain to expect). This wood is from logs that were cut in the late 1980's and early 1990's and have recently been milled into bottle stoppers. The wood dried substantially in log form and while some bottle stoppers are completely dry, others will have residual moisture. We have cut out most of the knots. There may be an occasional knot/small incursion or check, most of which are outside of the turned area with the exception of a few. It’s extremely easy to mill, glue and turn, yielding a high natural polish that is sure to please all turners.
