Moluccan Ironwood, Intsia bijuga, is a medium sized flowering tree that grows in Eastern Africa and Eastern Asia. The leaves and flowers of this tree are aromatic. The tree yields beautiful, dense hardwood that is resistant to rot and insects. Often used in furniture, boats, and beams, this wood and its bark has also been used to produce brown dye.
