Collection: Teak, African

African Teak, also known as Iroko, has excellent longevity in moist environments. Often used in boat building in Africa, this species is a fantastic substitute for genuine Burma Teak but is available at a fraction of the cost. Colors range from golden to yellowish brown. Like genuine Teak, African Teak mills easily with sharp tools but dulls them quickly. It is naturally high in silica like Burma Teak, making it excellent for water applications. This high quality hardwood is suitable for a variety of woodworking projects.
