Harvested in 2004, this log yielded lumber with great color and figure! The lumber is now dry and ready to use. Some of this would be suitable for instruments or high end jewelry boxes etc. There may be a minor check present but anything more than a minor check is listed below. A minor bow or cup of 1/8" or less may be present on some boards. This is a rare opportunity for some equilibrium dried Koa! This is a spectacular piece! There are two 1" end checks at the opposite end from the numbers. There is a 3" and 2" check near the rough heartwood edge. There are two 1-1/2" end checks on the back face. There are numerous pin holes in the sapwood. Half of the sapwood is useable. Great color and figure. Lots of wood for guitars, etc.
