Figured Old Growth Redwood Live Edge Lumber
This salvaged Redwood is vacuum kiln dried and ready to use. It has been planed on two sides. Since it is from old growth stock and has very tight growth rings, it has great workability as well as fantastic mineral coloring! The wood cuts easily and glues well. We know you will enjoy working this Pacific Northwest gem. This piece of lumber has a sapwood edge.

Redwood is considered a softwood with a specific gravity between .36 to .42 and will cut and turn easily.

Our turning wood has all been salvaged from downed trees, heat treated, and is in the process of air drying. Although it does contain residual moisture, Redwood dries very quickly. Ends are wax sealed. Redwood is considered a softwood with a specific gravity between .36 to .42. It cuts easily. This has 50%+ heartwood and an occasional knot may be present. Size varies 1/4"+/-.
