Cut in the 1940's and stored in a barn until recently, this classic American wood is dry, surfaced on two sides and ready to use. You will notice that some boards have more black patina than others. This is just on the surface and will surface sand or plane away if you would like to remove it. These were cut over 70 years ago! Pieces have rough circle sawn edges. Lengths over 46 ship whole for no additional fee. This piece is flat to riftsawn. There are a few burl eyes present in the fiddleback. Opposite face of number has a full length check about 1-1/2" to 2" from the edge, max 1/4" deep.
