All of this aromatic Port Orford cedar was cut from ground level or from roots of the magnificent Port Orford Cedar trees. This is a great selection of blanks that have interesting grain patterns and/or fiddleback! Small checks can be present on some blanks (mostly visible in the pictures). Although these have dried for 40 to 70 years in stump form, residual moisture is present. They have lost 60-80% of their original moisture. This is a natural, unique offering that includes natural edge pieces and piece with squared edges (please see photos). Blanks with live edges contain numerous checks in and near the live edge portion of the wood. Sound knot in corner back face and edge. Areas of extra fancy wood but you must be able to work with general defects.
