This high quality Oregon Myrtlewood was cut from premium quality saw logs. Cut with turning in mind, you’ll find a range of colors and patterns! Oregon Myrtlewood is an exceptional turning choice. This stock was freshly cut in June of 2018, and should be twice turned because it contains moisture; the wax does not need to be removed to continue drying. Turning blanks are completely wax sealed. The wax will easily turn off as you turn the wood on your lathe. Enjoy working this easy, workable species! This piece has some beautiful spalting that are generally solid but some are soft. It has a few bark incursions.
