INCLUDES 1 WOOD BLANK (several blanks are shown to indicate the range of color/grain to expect). Monterillo Rosewood exhibits dark stripes through a dark tan that resembles striped Ebony versus the Southern variety that visually resembles Brazilian Rosewood. The wood is dense (heavier than Brazilian & East Indian Rosewood), closed grain and non-porous. It is beautiful to finish. Width can vary 1/8". Thickness may vary slightly. A slight check or small pin knot may be present. Color varies from board to board. This wood has been kiln dried and surface planed on two sides.
