Harvested in 2004, this log yielded lumber with great color and figure! The lumber is now dry and ready to use. Some of this would be suitable for instruments or high end jewelry boxes etc. There may be a minor check present but anything more than a minor check is listed below. A minor bow or cup of 1/8" or less may be present on some boards. This is a rare opportunity for some equilibrium dried Koa! This has some planer skip on the back face, up to 1/8" deep. There are some surface checks. There is a 20" x 4" area with numerous surface checks. There are numerous pin holes in the sapwood edge. The sapwood is mostly not useable. A large portion of this wood is useable for musical instruments. Must be able to work with noted defects. There is a 3" end split at the numbered end. Would also make a great side table.
