This figured lumber has fancy patterns and wide, loose curls. Chris Craft boats uses this species in their manufacturing. On larger pieces a 1/8 bow may be present that will lay flat with minimal pressure. This material is surfaced on two sides, kiln dried, and ready to use! Some of the pieces may have a fuzzy appearance to them from the surfacing process. This can easily be sanded or surfaced away. The majority of this batch is quarter to riftsawn. A lot of this is suitable for musical instruments.
Khaya/African Mahogany is a beginner friendly wood which is easy to turn! Similar to other Mahogany, this species works easily and has rich, warm colors. Kiln dried and ready to use, this high grade hardwood is excellent for your projects!
