Bubinga Micro Lumber (18" x 4" x 3/8")
INCLUDES 1 WOOD BLANK (several blanks are shown to indicate the range of color/grain to expect). This beautiful hardwood has recently been put on the Cites list. Due to this, we cannot ship this wood outside of the USA. This material has been specially cut for projects that require micro lumber. It is kiln dried and ready to use. The last 1-2" of our micro lumber can be thinner than measured due to planer snipe. Pieces may have some planer skip. Width can vary +/- 1/8". Thickness may vary slightly. Micro Lumber may have a slight twist/cup/bow that should lay flat with minimal pressure.

Exhibition Waterfall Bubinga Veneer Sheet (23-1/2" x 8-3/4")
Ships to USA Only! African Rosewood, Kevasingo, or Bubinga, is a colorful, dense species from Africa's West Coast. Though not a true Rosewood, it is denser than several Rosewoods. This is the best waterfall Bubinga you will ever find! Colors range from red and brown to violet tones. Our special log was sliced for us in Europe by the best veneer mill in the World. This is exceptional veneer with deep flowing waterfall figure that is sure to please. All veneer is dry and ready to use. As with most figured veneer it will not be perfectly flat and will require proper veneer application techniques. Additionally, it is common to have 1-2” end splits; however, we have measured inside of these checks so you can expect the dimensions listed to be the usable dimensions. Please expect to work with these checks. It is typical for the edges to be slightly frayed or rough (approximately 1/16” to ¼” into each edge). Please factor this into your final width. Most sheets are very clean and nice. The heartwood may contain several pin holes but they are scarce and most pieces do not have any. We will tape the ends of the flitches to protect them and carefully package this for shipping. The sheet is sliced at 1/32" thick but due to shrinkage, the sheets will be thinner than listed. This incredible batch of figured Bubinga has a range of beautiful pomelle figure, chatoyance, and violet streaks with rich burgundy color. Suitable for high end, fine woodworking projects, this kiln dried and surfaced material is ideal for many uses. This lumber is very clean. Boards 12" and wider may have 1/8" cup. Boards over 36" may have a 1/8" twist. Bubinga ships to the USA only.
