Amboyna Burl, Pterocarpus indicus, is the World's rarest and most expensive burl, possessing incredible colors and patterns. It was used for the first Rolls Royce's dashboards. It is moderately easy to work and takes a very smooth, high polish that makes pens absolutely outstanding! This wood has air dried for 12 years and may contain a little bit of residual moisture but most is dry and ready to use. Live edges, incursions, voids, and minor checks may be present. There are a few small bark incursions.

Please see photos or inquire. This piece of lumber has numerous bark incursions with drying checks and splits. There are bark edges present. There is a large incursion on the back face. The area on the numbered face to the large incursion on the back face is 1/8" thick. Must be able to work with. If using as a drop top guitar, epoxy must be used.
