The wood turns well with sharp tools and takes a high natural polish that is glassy and smooth. Grain is generally interlocked, giving some three dimensional properties to quarter sawn faces. Pomelle figure may be present. Pin holes or minor end checks may exist in the sapwood. This wood has air dried for 1.5 years and may contain some residual moisture. Ends are wax sealed. Boards over 36" may have a slight bow or twist. Enjoy this South American beauty!
