This beautiful Hawaiian Koa has warm, rich colors. Fabulous iridescence is present. Koa half and round logs have a box heart from the pith of the tree and contain checks or voids. The log pieces have been air dried for 15 years. Bark edges will need to be removed for international orders at an additional cost. Lumber and turning squares are kiln dried. The rich depth of color in this material is unrivaled; it’s some of the finest color we’ve seen in years. Beautiful figure will vary from piece to piece. This bowl blank has large Incursions and some natural edge present. Some soft spalting are present in the block. Must be able to work with forementioned defects.
