This beautiful Hawaiian Koa has warm, rich colors. Fabulous iridescence is present. Koa half and round logs have a box heart from the pith of the tree and contain checks or voids. The log pieces have been air dried for 15 years. Bark edges will need to be removed for international orders at an additional cost. Lumber and turning squares are kiln dried. The rich depth of color in this material is unrivaled; it’s some of the finest color we’ve seen in years. Beautiful figure will vary from piece to piece. This bowl blank has several pinholes present on the numbered face. There are some end checking up to 1/4" deep that should turn away. There is also one 1/8" check present on the back face.
