Exhibition Red Mallee Burl Cap
This beautiful Australian burl cap is ideal for stunning turning projects! It has either been hand planed or sanded on the face. It was originally cut with a chainsaw on the face, so it is not flat. There is residual moisture in this wood, but it has been in the process of air drying for 1-1/2 to 2 years as of July of 2022. Small inclusions and checks are normal for this species and are not considered a defect. The wonderful live edge can be incorporated into many creative projects.
