Collection: Jarrah

Jarrah, Eucalyptus marginata, is a beautiful Australian exotic wood from a medium to large tree with heights up to 100 to 130 ft. and diameters from 3 to 5 ft. This dense hardwood has light red to maroon red and brown tones that darken with age, yielding woodworking projects that are rich and classic in appearance. Fiddleback, when present, shows well on the quarter or rift sawn faces. Jarrah is open grained and has a specific gravity of .66 to .84. Due to its density and interlocked grain, it is difficult to work and tends to have a blunting effect on tools. Uses include veneer, cabinets, flooring, boxes, woodturning projects, and furniture.
