This lumber contains heavy fiddleback with lots of Ambrosia streaks! It is kiln dried and surfaced on two sides. When we cut this batch, we yielded some of the wildest and largest boards and slabs we have seen in Ambrosia Maple! Please note, the Ambrosia streaks are only caused by the small Ambrosia beetle so you must be willing to work with this in your projects. These boards are of excellent quality, with only a few that have a minor check. This has incredible color and figure! Would be great for an arch top guitar or other high end project!

These boards are quarter sawn or rift sawn (unless otherwise noted). They contain lots of figured and shimmering grain (varies board to board, see photos for details). Surfaced on two sides, kiln dried and ready to use, this wood is easy to glue and work. There may be an occasional surface, end check, or minor planer mark in only 5% of boards. Many of the boards look white but have nice pinkish/brown colors. The white color is simply due to the fact that the wood is difficult to picture. This clean and beautifully figured Okoume is a bargain for exotic wood from West Africa! This piece has a rough edge and we have measured this piece inside the rough edge. The rough edge slightly runs out to rift sawn. You could get a quartersawn acoustic guitar back or electric guitar top out of this piece. There are a couple of pin knots on the edge grain.
