Colors range from reds, brown and violet tones. Interlocked grain is very similar to Amazique (which is in the same family as Bubinga). This wood can be a little bit difficult to bend. Africa. A massive board that is perfectly quartersawn from the center of a 6′ diameter log.  Kiln dried.  There are some heart checks on the square edge that can be worked with or cut off. These go about 5″ iinto the width. We tallied this section off the price.  Incredible one of a kind slab!
