The Holy Grail of instrument woods, Brazilian Rosewood is the coveted hardwood by which all other tone woods in the World are judged. It is known for its sweet, fragrant aroma and incredible acoustical qualities. The rich, even color of Brazilian Rosewood can range from dark brown, brick red, orange, and even black. Rare on the World Market, this hardwood cannot be shipped outside of the USA. This is part of a collection of Brazilian Rosewood that was kept for a master pool cue maker in the 60′s. He kept a huge inventory of Brazilian and had plenty left over when he passed. All were hand selected for grain and color.  These are really clean with good color and figure in a lot of them. A few random pin holes or rough edges are present in a few of them. Some are suitable for Guitar bridge blanks. Great for duck calls, bottle stoppers, and pen blanks. W10692: fiddleback dark colors, A few 1/2″ to 1″ checks on one edge. W10693: Fiddleback – wild patterns. 1 lb. each.

This can make 2 possibly 3 guitar bridge blanks that are quartersawn with mostly straight grain.W10659: 2 pin holes and a 1-1/4″ long hairline surface check. Wild patterns! W10660: Deep curl and wild figure! W10661: 1/16″ bow. One face is showing crotch figure!  W10662: 1/16″ bow. 3 pin holes. Great colors! W10663: 1″ surface check on one face and 2 1/8″ bug holes on one face. Classic dark colors! 1 lb. each.
