Huge logs up to six feet in diameter are available, but these large logs usually lack the beautiful dark streaking that makes this wood so desirable. Naturally oily the wood is dense and takes an incredible polish and is great for turning! Heavily striped and figured Goncalo Alves! Kiln dried and surfaced on two sides. Glassy to the touch. Many of these boards could be cut for guitars!

- 13 lbs. Back: 23-1/2″ x 9-3/8″ x 7/8″ Sides: 34-1/4″ x 5-7/8″ x 1″

Assorted figured and violet colored Purpleheart boards that are kiln dried and surfaced on two sides. Side billet is quartersawn with nice fiddleback! The back is matching color with straight grain.
