Favored as an ornamental tree in the West were it grows in the wild on the edges of meadows and forest openings. A favorite grove for leary Elk and Mule Deer. Stark white bark with leaves shimmering in the breeze. The wood is lightweight and takes a finish easily (although it absorbs a lot). Easy to mill with a tendance to have fuzzy grain until sanded. Heartwood colors are light brown streaks that usually saturate individual growth rings around the trees pith. Sapwood is a suitable white substitute for American Holly. The wood dries easily with a marked tendency to stain if care is not taken. Our stock is from the USA and Canada. Similar color to American Holly without the expense or knots! Dry with wax sealed ends. Bargain priced.

- W16773 specs.:
- 7 lbs. 10″ x 10″ x 3″
