Pheasant wood is a rare species of Hawaiian hardwood, named after the appearance of a pheasant's feathers. The flat or slab sawn face shows the most finely defined patterns with contrasting light and dark streaks. Our stock is kiln dried and usually surfaced on two sides. Excellent for fine articles such as boxes, pens, and more. This species is more difficult to obtain than koa and is only available in small sizes. Hawaii |
