Green lumber is unstable until is carefully dried; once dried it has excellent stability. Madrone is hard and fairly difficult to saw, but it is possible to get a beautiful, high polish in finishing. This is the best of the best with only minimal checks, incursions, or other issues. These are billets for pool cues, flutes, or vessel blanks. Gallery grade band saw boxes made of these large billets are also a favorite project! This is as good as it gets! Spectacular colors, patterns, and burl eyes. Pressure cooked to relieve tension and then kiln dried. Surfaced on two sides. Three very small pin incursions that are minnor. Bass or electric guitar billet! 10 lbs.

Ebonized Madrone Madrone is normally a pinkish red in color. About 1/2 of this board has a light fiddleback on it. There is a live edge and some burl at the end. There are checks in the burl eyes that you will need to either work with or around. The ebonizing takes up to 4 years for the thicker stock like this!
