This wood originates in South America. It has a rich violet/brown color with shades of black and dark lines.
The sapwood is a creamy yellow. It can obtain an unusually high natural polish as seen above. When finished,
Kingwood is silky smooth to the touch. It is named Kingwood because it was preferred by the Kings of France
in French furniture. We have some 12/4 lumber available as well as 1/2 log blanks as shown in picture on top left.
We have a scarce supply of larger stock.
