As a result many people in these countries are injured or killed every year. The wood is used for marimbas and other instruments. The tap tone is very bright and projects well. DEFECTS: 2A checks and incursions on both faces. You will need to be able to work with or around them. 1-3/4" minimum thickness at the very end 2B slight natural edge on the end and a check in the sapwood 2C one clean face and a few surface checks on the bottom of one face

DEFECTS:4A There is a rough edge on the end and a few side checks present. Very rare! Suitable for use as ukulele backs. Flamewood is very similar to Brazilian rosewood acoustically. 4A Quartersawn with tight grain. full length check on one face great for a peppermill!
