AAAA Flamed
Maple Oregon Big Leaf Maple is slightly coarser than European or Eastern Hard Rock Maple and as so is somewhat harder to work. Despite this, the beauty of the wood easily overcomes any difficulties in working. It has excellent color variations that range from white to coral pink & light brown. Boards of Big Leaf Maple usually have figure & color variations; no two boards are the same. This is another reason that Maple is such a fun wood for those who seek a creative flare in their projects. Kiln dried to 9% moisture. Quarter to rift sawn. 4A grade.

Machiche Guitar Billet Machiche is an excellent hardwood with deep browns, brick reds, and fine grain patterns. This makes the wood look somewhat like old growth Honduras Rosewood. Though it is hard, the wood machines fairly easily, responding well to sharp cutters and also finishes well, bringing out beautiful highlights in the grain. Good sustain and crisp projection make this Central American hardwood a good choice for acoustical properties as well as dollar value. The template that is drawn on it is for a J-200. Air dried, shellac sealed ends, ready for use.

Macassar Ebony
Bridge Blanks The Latin name for Macassar Ebony is Diospryus celibica. Diospyros, in Latin, originally meant "fruit of the God's" and is referenced in Ezekiel 27:15. A wood of great importance World wide that has been used by many Kings, Macassar Ebony is also known as Golden Ebony for the black stripes overlaying golden tones. It is an extremely dense wood that is difficult to work and has a dulling effect on tools. Uses include: veneer, musical instruments, inlay, tool handles, pens, bottle stoppers, and carving. Our Ebony arrives in squared logs "cants" that are up to 10' x 14" x 14" or as small as 3' x 3" x 4" billets. Over 60% of the wood is defected and is not suitable for high grade uses. Asia. These have more subtle & refined color stripes that the Japanese have preferred for years. Can also be called Queen's Ebony. Kiln dried. 6A: is quarter sawn. The rest are rift sawn.
