Rosewood, Dalbergia stevensonii. As with most Rosewood this takes an
intensely high polish when turned but we particularly notice that
Honduras Rosewood's finish is quite fine and smooth. This piece is
natural with shallow defects on one face and natural edge on the other.
You should be able to get some small turning blanks from this.

minor planer bite at the end. An excellent tone wood that is used
for marimbas and guitars!
