It is very hard to find Honduras Rosewood that is this wide; however the heart does run through the piece so you'll have to work around the checks and defects in this section. Air dried, S2S.

True Rosewood, Dalbergia stevensonii. As with most Rosewood this takes an intensely high polish when turned but we particularly notice that Honduras Rosewood's finish is quite fine and smooth. This piece is natural with shallow defects on one face and natural edge on the other. You should be able to get some small turning blanks from this.
